A few days ago, we talked about how Ducati was going to show off the SuperSport and SuperSport S motorcycles at the 2016 Intermot (read more about it here). As expected, Ducati revealed its two new motorcycles, which may have started a new market segment.
The Italian sportbikes 959 Panigale and 1299 Panigale are tough machines for the track, but sometimes you want a softer bike for riding on the street. This is where the Ducati SuperSport comes in. The company says that this new motorcycle can be used on the street or at a racetrack.

The 937cc L-twin Testatretta engine in the Ducati SuperSport makes 115PS of power at 9000rpm and 96Nm of peak torque. This engine is the same one that comes with the Hypermotard. The Ducati Safety Pack, which comes with the SuperSport, has a 3-level Bosch ABS unit and an 8-level traction control system made by Ducati. There are also three different ways to ride: Sport, Touring, and Urban. The SuperSport S model has extra features like a fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and a Ducati Quick Shifter.

The Italian company that makes motorcycles says that the SuperSport is easy-going and has a relaxed riding position and easy-to-use controls. Ducati thinks that the SuperSport will be good for rides with a medium distance. The height-adjustable windscreen, 16-liter fuel tank, and easy-going rider posture will all help with this.
India should get the Ducati SuperSport and SuperSport S sometime next year. Most likely, the price will be between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 15 lakh.
