I’ve heard of drivers who replaced their car batteries and purchased a new one without regard to its size, only to discover that the new battery wouldn’t fit in the engine compartment.
So, instead of changing the batteries, they chopped the walls of that particular location or other features to prevent the battery from moving when driving in order to make some room for them. This worked. As a result, the engine stalled since the battery couldn’t hold its charge any longer.
