Lamborghini, an Italian supercar company, has released its newest model, the Huracan Performante, in India. This version of the Huracan that is most focused on performance has a price tag of Rs 3.97 Crores (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The Huracanperformante was first shown at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2017. It made headlines when the company said it was faster on the Nurburgring race track than the Porsche 918.

This car is powered by the same 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V10 gasoline engine as the other Huracan models. But for the Performante spec, the power is increased. It has a power output of 640PS and a torque output of 600Nm. A dual-clutch gearbox with seven speeds sends power from the engine to all four wheels. This helps the car go from 0 to 100kmph in just 2.9 seconds, which is the same as the recently released Aventador S, and also helps it reach a top speed of 325kmph.
The Huracan Performante’s chassis is made of a mix of aluminium and carbon fibre. The front and rear spoilers, engine cover, rear bumper, and diffuser are also made of composites to save weight. The Performante is 40 kg lighter than a typical car.
