India showed off the Lexus NX 300h last month. But nobody knew how much it would cost. Now, Lexus has said how much their hybrid SUV, the NX 300h, will cost. This SUV will come in two different styles, and sales will start early next year.

Ex-showroom Pricing of Lexus NX 300h-

NX 300h Luxury is 53.18 lakh rupees, and NX 300h F Sport is 55.58 lakh rupees.

Competition

Since CBU imports are what Lexus cars are, the prices have been on the high side (LX 450d SUV is Priced at Rs 2.32 crore). But the NX 300h is priced to compete with SUVs like the Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and BMW X3. The only hybrid-petrol car in this group, the Lexus NX 300h stands out. Its fuel economy of 18.32, as measured by ARAI, is the best in its class and makes it much more desirable than diesel engine cars.

Design

Lexus Nx 300h Pricing Starts Rs 53.18 Lakh-1

In true Lexus style, this SUV’s design is more revolutionary than it is evolutionary. Several traditional Japanese design ideas can work well with modern design if they are put together well. It has headlights and taillights that are all LED. The L-shaped headlights are a trademark, and the taillights go all the way around the corners. Large overhangs make the big Lexus grille look sporty. This SUV has 18-inch alloy wheels and two exhaust pipes in the back. The NX 300h F Sport trim is different from the Luxury trim because the grille is different, the side mirrors are blacked out, and the wheels are different.

Interiors

When you step inside, you’ll see that the focus is on making the design more sporty and up-to-date. This doesn’t mean that it isn’t fancy. It has a 10.3-inch colour infotainment screen, a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, leather seats, a 14-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, wireless phone charging, hands-free tailgate release, a 360-degree camera, and a lot of other new technology.

The Luxury trim also has rear seats that fold up automatically and keep you cool. The F Sport model doesn’t have these perks. But the F Sport trim has sportier two-tone interiors, front seats that are more comfortable, aluminium pedals, and an artificial sound that comes out of the speakers (not sure if this is a good or bad thing).

Powertrain

The best thing about the Lexus NX 300h is that it has a hybrid engine. So let’s discuss more. It has a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine that runs on gasoline and is linked to two electric motors. This setup has a total power output of 197 PS and a total torque of 210 Nm. The eCVT automatic gearbox in this powertrain sends power to all four wheels (depending on the driving mode). Now, these power numbers might seem low compared to those of its rivals. But this SUV is pretty good at what it does. The car can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds, and its top speed is 180 km/h. The driver can choose from Normal, Eco, Sport, Sport+, and Custom driving modes. All of these settings change how quickly the throttle responds, how fast the gears change, how the steering feels, and how the suspension works.

Safety

The standard safety system includes traction control, ABS, Stability control, Hill start assist, Cornering head lights, parking cameras, and 8 airbags.
