The 5-Series looks a lot like the new 7-Series from the outside. Even though the changes look small at first glance, they are not. For example, the chassis has been completely redesigned and is made of magnesium, aluminium, and high-strength steel, among other things. The car is getting bigger so that there is more room inside. Even so, BMW was able to cut 100 kg from the car’s weight. Like the 7-Series, it has LED headlights, Adaptive LED lights as an option, adaptive dampers, and an anti-dazzle high beam that can let you see up to 500 metres away.

Interiors

The inside of the new BMW 5-Series has also been changed a lot. One can find the latest gadgets like iDrive 6.0 infotainment, gesture control, voice control, a heads-up digital display, and multi-contour massage seats. BMW also says that the cabin is quieter than ever because they used a lot of materials that cut down on noise. The optional Harman Kardon 600-watt 16-speaker sound system will please music lovers.

Engine Options

India will have three engine options for the BMW 5-Series: the 520d, the 530d, and the 530i. The 520d is powered by a turbocharged diesel engine with a 2.0-liter displacement that makes 190 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The 530d has a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine that puts out 265 PS and 620 NM of torque. The only gasoline option is the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine in the 530i, which makes 252 PS and 350 Nm of torque. All of the engines are paired with a reliable 8-Speed Automatic transmission.
