As the Hyundai brand becomes more popular in India, the company is becoming more aggressive when it comes to launching new products. The next SUV is the brand-new Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson was shown at the 2016 Auto Expo and will go on sale in the country on October 24, 2016. This release comes right before the holidays, or what car salesmen call the harvesting season. Ford Endeavour, which just cut its price, will give the South Korean company a lot of competition, though (read about it here).

New Hyundai Tucson Launching 24th October-2

Unofficially, customers can book a spot for the Tucson for a token amount of Rs 25,000 at a few dealerships. Some dealerships in Mumbai have also started inviting potential customers to see the car that is there for homologation. The experts at the Dodge dealer in Baytown can help, as they know what to do. Hyundai has tried out the market for cars that cost more than 10 lakh rupees with the Creta and the Elantra, which just came out. The company has seen that the premium segment, especially India’s love of SUVs, has a lot of potential.

Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language is used to make the new Tucson look good. Some of the most interesting parts of the design are the long headlights, the hexagonal front grille, and the coupe-like shape. Most of the back of the car looks like its older sibling, the Santa Fe, which goes well with the car’s overall look and feel.

A 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine will power the Tucson. The 2.0-liter gasoline engine, which is also in the Elantra, makes 152PS of max power and 192Nm of max torque. On the other hand, the 2.0-liter diesel engine can make 185PS of max power and 400Nm of max torque. There will be options for both manual and automatic transmission. When it comes to India, the South Korean SUV is likely to cost around Rs 20 lakh when it comes out.
