BMW Motorrad finally told us how much the G 310 R and G 310 GS entry-level motorcycles will cost after making us wait for years. The BMW G 310 R, which is the naked version, costs Rs 2.99 lakh. The BMW G 310 GS, which is a lightweight Adventure bike, costs Rs 3.49 lakh. Industry experts had been guessing about the price for a long time, and BMW Motorrad’s price is a lot lower than what they thought it would be. It still costs more than the popular KTM Duke 390, though. Reservations started last month.
Project BMW 310
The entry-level BMW twins are the result of a partnership between the company and TVS Motors. In this partnership, TVS Motors made the G 310 R and G 310 GS in India, while BMW Motorrad focused on engineering and marketing. The TVS Apache RR 310 is also powered by a new 310cc engine that was made as part of this project.
BMW G 310 GS Debut at EICMA 2016
The bike comes with a very good warranty package from BMW. This comes with coverage for 3 years and unlimited miles. The bikes have already been sent to BMW Motorrad dealers, and the deliveries have begun. The next batch will be here soon, which will shorten the time we have to wait.
Engine & Gearbox
G 310 R and G 310 GS are both built on the same platform. This includes a single-cylinder engine with a 313cc displacement that runs backwards and makes 35 PS of power and 28 Nm of torque. It has a DOHC (double overhead cam) cylinder head and is cooled by water. The engine is hooked up to a gearbox with six speeds. The chassis is made of a steel tube frame with a single shock at the back.
Because BMW is a well-known brand, there is a lot of interest in these motorcycles right now. So, if you want one, you’ll have to wait a few months for it to arrive. BMW Motorrad India has 9 dealers right now. Some of them are in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, and Chennai. You can make a reservation by putting down Rs 50,000.
