The Roxor is a side-by-side utility vehicle that can be used off road. The Roxor is tough and made of steel all the way through.

The Roxor has four-wheel drive, and the new model has shorter axle ratios that help it do better off-road.

Roxors can’t go faster than 55 mph, so they can’t be driven on the street. But some states have laws that are different.

Not long after the Roxor came out, the company that owns the Jeep brand, Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles, sued Mahindra Automotive because the design of the Roxor looked a lot like the Jeep brand.

The International Trade Commission sided with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in June 2020.

At the moment, Mahindra Automotive has stopped making and selling the Roxor and is in the process of redesigning it.

Rules and regulations for off-roading are meant to keep drivers safe and limit the damage utility vehicles do to the environment.

Most state laws about using off-road vehicles are the same, but laws at the county level may be different.

State laws tell you how fast you can go, what you need to do to register your bike, and which areas or trails are off-limits or can be used for off-road riding.

In some places, you might have to be a certain age to drive a Roxor.

Some states might even make people take safety classes before they can drive one of these off-road vehicles.

But it is against the law in all states to drive an off-road vehicle while drunk.

Alabama

The Roxor can’t be registered in Alabama, and it’s not meant to be driven on public roads.

Alaska

People think that the Roxor shouldn’t be driven on public roads.

It also can’t be registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles because it doesn’t meet federal safety standards.

But there are times when you can use a Roxor on roads that are already there.

Off-road vehicles are allowed on public roads when highways are closed because of bad weather, when crossing a bridge (on the right side and without getting in the way of other traffic), or when crossing a road (must be at a right angle to the road).

Arizona

Off-road vehicles can be registered in Arizona, and they should be registered.

Utility vehicles owned by residents can also get a title, licence plate, and decal.

The Roxor can be driven on the street if it meets the safety and equipment requirements, such as having brake lights, headlights, rearview mirrors, rear reflectors, a horn, a muffler, and a fuel tank cap.

Arkansas

Residents have to register their off-road vehicles, but they don’t have to do it again every year.

Off-road vehicles don’t have to pass safety checks or have certain equipment, either.

Roxors are allowed on public roads when someone needs to cross the street, when someone has a serious walking disability, or when someone is hunting or farming and needs to move from one field to another.

California

The Roxor can be driven on the street in California, but there are some rules.

First, anyone who drives a Roxor must have a valid driver’s licence and wear a helmet.

Second, off-road vehicles must meet certain requirements for safety and equipment.

Overall, the Roxor can be used on highway sections that are three miles or less long and are made for both legal highway vehicles and vehicles that can’t go on the road.

The Roxor can also cross intersections in a straight line.

Colorado

Off-road vehicles owned by residents have to be registered.

Off-road vehicles are not street legal unless they are being driven on a road that is meant for them.

There are some of these roads in the National Forest, but most of them are in smaller towns.

Before you move forward, you should check with the local government to see if off-road vehicles like the Roxor are allowed.

Connecticut

In the state of Connecticut, you have to register your off-road vehicles.

Off-road vehicles are only allowed on public roads when they are crossing the street at a right angle.

Delaware

Off-road vehicles owned by people in Delaware must be registered.

Helmets must be worn by both drivers and passengers. Off-road vehicles can’t be driven on public roads or highways.

Off-road vehicles can only be used if the owner of the land gives permission.

Florida

Off-road vehicles don’t have to be registered, but they do need a title.

Most of the time, off-road vehicles can be driven on unpaved roads in Florida where the speed limit is less than 35 miles per hour.

However, some counties may only allow off-road vehicles on certain roads.

Georgia

The Georgia Department of Public Safety says that local governments decide whether off-road vehicle use is allowed and which roads can be used for it. This means that rules will be different in each city.

Talk to the Georgia authorities to make sure your Roxor is legal to drive on the street.

Hawaii

Utility vehicles can be used in Hawaii if they are used as farm equipment, if they are used in areas with less than 500,000 people, if they are used to travel between farms, and if they are used on two-lane roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or less.

Utility vehicles can only be driven on roads during the day, and riders and drivers must wear helmets.

Idaho

In Idaho, side-by-sides can’t be driven on the street without making some changes, like adding turn signals and a muffler.

Side-by-sides are not allowed on highways, but they can be used on public roads as long as they meet safety requirements, are registered, and are driven by someone with a valid driver’s licence and insurance.

Illinois

Off-road vehicles are not allowed on roads or highways, unless they are crossing a road perpendicularly or where a highway meets another road.

So, if you live in Illinois, you shouldn’t get a Roxor.

Indiana

Before you can drive an off-road vehicle on a public road, you have to register it.

Drivers must have a licence that is still good.

Off-road vehicles can cross public roads and drive on the right-of-way next to roads as long as they don’t put anyone else in danger.

But some counties have their own rules, so drivers should check what the rules are in their area before riding.

Iowa

Off-road vehicles owned by residents must be registered.

Off-road vehicles are only allowed in certain areas that are decided by the county.

If you live in Iowa and have a Roxor, keep an eye out for places where you can drive it.

Kansas

In the state of Kansas, all vehicles that are not made for roads must be registered.

Utility vehicles can be used to cross the street or in farming.

If you need to cross a highway for farming, the speed limit must be 65 mph or less.

Kentucky

Utility vehicles don’t have to be registered, but they do have to have a title.

Utility vehicles can drive on two-lane public highways if they are used for farming or if they are crossing the road perpendicularly.

If they don’t have a licence, utility vehicles can’t be on public roads or highways.

Louisiana

In Louisiana, utility vehicles must be insured, have a title, and be registered.

Utility vehicles can cross roads or highways by driving on the shoulder of public roads between 30 minutes after sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset.

Utility vehicles can be driven on public streets as long as they cross an area with a speed limit of 35 mph or less.

Utility vehicles can also be used on the sides of roads and highways for farming as long as they stay within a five-mile radius of your farm.
